Accidental Death of an Anarchist is a farcical dark comedy based on the true story of the 1969 Piazza Fontana Bombing, in Milan, and the consequent death of the falsely accused Giuseppe Spinelli, while under questioning by the Italian police.

On the 5th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, as associate artistic director of Unknown Theater, I programmed and directed a wild and absurd production of Dario Fo's acclaimed comedy featuring new texts inspired by the current political turmoil and a lot of physical humor.

“Director Diana Wyenn and her cheeky actor‐compatriots ... deliver an inventive, loose adaptation that bristles with contemporary references ... captures the impertinence and brio of Fo at his rambunctious best.” —Los Angeles Times

“This production is thought‐provoking and lingers in the mind after the theatre doors have slammed shut.” —Backstage

“GO! … The ensemble, which also includes gives heroically insane performances, with nicely contrapuntal comic timing and physical humor ... Rarely has screed‐as‐art been so effective.” —LA Weekly
